teen n naveen expecting

i volunteered tina and naveen as a my 'expecting' project. also, it's a great way to document one of my oldest friend's first pregnancy. i don't really know how to photograph expecting parents nor do i know what my focal point should be, besides the 'bun in the oven'. i had fun, and pregnant tina was very open to all suggestions and very comfortable in her own body. it was wonderful and very easy working with them. love ya teen! thanks!

ariane's 18th birthday

This was my very first debut (a Filipino tradition where a girl becomes a woman at the age of 18). It was great and very easy to work with Ariane. She was very natural and had no problem keeping a natural smile. And it wasn't hard to see what her friends and family saw in her. She's smart, kind and beautiful; I definitely had fun shooting this event!

skadden pics

Here's a few pics that we didn't include from michelle's work party... *Note: Thanks to James Landas for doing all the editing and helping me out at this party!!!

These are the lovely ladies who planned this splendid party.
(Michelle, Kelly, Jawana, and Karen) can you guess what character they're suppose to be?

This was towards the end of the night. Can you tell who's faded? Also, don't you agree that bowties should come back into style?

I thought this shot would be cheesy... good call James!

Wuddup! Representin' Ja Tecson Photography! Red carpet that mug!

Karen & Michelle...
Mich considers Karen a little sister... Isn't it amazing that the bully becomes the bullied?

So whilst this shot is being taken Michelle and I are getting down on the dance floor... James says to Jawana "Let's show them how it's done!"... A' hem! Are you looking to school me again?

... we like getting faded together.
I had lots of fun at my first "semi-professional" shoot!!! Free booze are always great!!! Fantastico!!! Muy bueno!!! Excellente!!! Estupendo!!!
Thanks Mich!!!

my fave skadden pics

Here are some of my favorite pics from that night... hope you like them as much as I do... sorta.

gillian's 7th birthday

invid photoshoot

I did a shoot yesterday with invid, which I wasn't very proud of, but all the fun is in learning... I guess. Here's a glimpse of randomness...

Here's my crappy yet favorite picture of that day... stupid aperture that I failed to learn cuz
I was too busy messing around as le tigre (sorry master Ja)

They're blurry but the background isn't... weak! It'd be a good flyer... ya right!

Here's master ja's walking photo replica... I've still got tons of learning to do.

ewok

Do you see any resemblance?

So this is my 10 year old puppy, Tobi. He's well known amongst my IMAC biatches. He's quite sickly (by sickly, I mean he coughs a lot cuz of his bronchitis and he's got bad allergies) so if any of you know a dog sitter, holla'!

So ewoks...

Did you know that Ewoks from Star Wars episode 6 spoke tagalog? I'm serious... Look!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ewok#Language

The Ewoks speak "ewokese".

Some have noted that certain phrases uttered by the Ewoks resemble other languages of Earth, such as Tagalog (the major basis for Filipino, the national language of the Philippines). The Ewoks seem to say "Ayon, puno daw ito!" when C-3PO is being worshipped. "Ayon, pinuno daw ito!" means "There it is! This is said to be a leader!" in Tagalog. "Puno" is a root word - from it comes pinuno, "leader", and pamumuno, "leadership". Immediately after, another Ewok replies with, "Maganda!" meaning beautiful. Also, when an Ewok is hit by a AT-ST laser, his companion (probably Wicket) apparently says, "Patay!", which is Tagalog for "Dead!".

First blog

So I started this thing because I've been inspired by my photo team members (Ja Tecson Photography Team SUCKAS!!!!) Well, I've never done this before, but I suppose it's where you have conversations with yourself and you share them with others right? :)

So here's a few pics from my FIRST solo photo session
EVER, on my FIRST blog EVER!!! Umm, as you can see from the first photo, the lighting is pretty sorry over there at Mr. T's Bowl. One red light, one blue light, black background... lighting totally sucked ass!

Anyways, enjoy!

Moaning at Midnight: Wednesday, May 9, 2007 - Mr T's Bowl (Highland Park, CA)

Wandag, Jonathan - le lead singer, songwriter (pre-sweaty. let me know if you want the sweaty version)
